HOLA!!

Glad You Made It To This Site.

So, Come on in....

Kick off your shoes....

Make Yourself at Home!! RELAX...

Hello, and WELCOME to our condominium 301C at The Summit WEB site.   That's 301C on the upper left. It's one of only four south-facing end places at The Summit, with lots more sunlight than inside Summit units. And the top floor has the very best of views across the mountains and sunsets to the west. We've created this site to provide more information about our rental offering; provide more reasons to consider spending your vacation, or mini-vacation with us at Snowshoe, and to give you a better feel for what it's all about.

For those of you who've been our guests in the past, you'll see changes when you return.   Recently,(2010)we did some remodeling to the kitchen, and also replaced the tired laminate counters with GRANITE!!!  We think you will like it too. We chose a deep green color called Peacock, and the dividing wall between the kitchen and the dining room has come down, so the kitchen will have a lot of that natural light shining in from the western sky, especially on those bright sunny afternoons.
CHECK IT OUT!!!.

We have more photographs on other pages of this site to show you what you'll find when you get to Snow shoe.   As we mention at the

www.vrbo.com/106888  site (where you'll find rate, calendar and amenities information), Pocahontas County, West Virginia is a unique and wonderful place for a weekend, or to linger-longer.  The county has the highest average elevation of any (yes ANY) county east of the Mississippi.  If that isn't impressive enough, no fewer than 8 rivers start their journey in Pocahontas County.  Some of the rain that falls into Pocahontas County runs down to the Gulf of Mexico, and some of it runs to the Atlantic Ocean.

In addition to having the best skiing in the east - that's my story and I'm sticking to it(!) - the region has amazing scenery, fresh air, low humidity, cooler temperatures, great fishing, abundant wildlife, golf, mountain biking, hiking, rock climbing, rafting (serious rafting on the New and Gauley Rivers), caving, kayaking, camping,  people-watching, and all the other things that people love to do to relax and recreate.  You might have to ride a few miles to find your favorite adventures, but Snowshoe is a perfect base for exploring these opportunities during every season of the year.  For the photographer, there is endless opportunity, from scenery, to wildlife, flora and fauna.   For the motorcyclist, some of the best durn bikin' roads in the world.

West Virginia folk are known for friendliness and a welcoming spirit.  Mention how much you are enjoying this place we call home, and you're no longer a stranger.

You'll be glad you came, and likely looking forward to returning again and again.

By the way, we have a 1 bedroom place in the vicinity of the Canaan/Timberline ski area, so get the lowdown on this by shooting me an email at jazzrich1@gmail.com
