The Sauna is a little tricky, and some guests have mistakenly thought it is broken. It's not....
Remember, the sauna stove and rocks get HOT. Putting water on the rocks can cause scalding steam to injure anyone on the bench above. Caution is MANDATORY.
Alcohol and Saunas do not mix. Alcohol impairs judgement, and no dangerous activity should be undertaken in an altered state. This applies to balcony activities as well, of course.
TheSauna is a special feature of Summit 301C, and is there for your enjoyment.
Here's how to make it work for you:
There are two dials. One is the temperature dial (leave this on full heat), and the other is the timer.
The timer is designed to let you set it in the morning, and come back home to a hot sauna. The numbers on the dial are hours, and you can set up to 6 or 8 hours in advance, but it only comes on once it has "ticked" down to about the 2 hour mark.
So, here's the deal:
1) Set the number of hours from now that you want to use the Sauna, minus 1.5. Want it on in 6 hours(?), set it for 6. Want it hot in 6 - 6.5 hours? Set it for 5 hours. Get it? It takes a good hour plus to warm up.
2) If you want it to be hot as soon as possible, turn the dial past the 4 hour mark, and then back it down to just where the red light comes on. This turns it on, and it will stay on for about 2 hours. (Again, it will take a good hour plus for it to fully warm up, so plan ahead!)
Call me if you're having problems, and it isn't really late :~) (304) 542-8222 .
